Going Green: Saving some green

Alan and I are so excited about this coming year. We are excited for healthier bodies, closer and better and more real relationships with God, and a better hold on our financial areas. We are doing the "Financial Peace University" plan and have done the first week's material and I'm so excited. It really is freeing when you have a better grasp on your finances. We're prepared to tighten our belts, work extra if we can (and this is more Alan as I really want to devote as much time as I can to being home with Caleb, I think that's really important and that God has called me to be a homemaker even though I do work part time), and save save save!

We're excited about our tax return jump starting this "saving" process and will use most of it to pay off some debt. All you newly weds or engaged couples out there-- you need to start doing this program so you DON'T get into debt and so that you ARE prepared for the future. I highly recommend it already! My mom did it last year and she is doing great. Their motto is live like no one does so you can LIVE like no one does. We are excited what God has for us as we are better stewards of his money and as we give over control of that portion of our lives to Him.
